Kierra Lang BIO
Westmoore High School welcomes new head girls' basketball coach, Kierra Lang to our staff!
Coach Lang comes to Westmoore after a 2-year stint with Lincoln Prep High School and 1 year of coaching at D’Arbonne Woods. She progressed her way to the state tournament each year. During this time, she was instrumental in 8 girls receiving post season honors as well as a total revamp of the academic achievement level of their teams. She has also sent 4 of her senior athletes to the collegiate level. Coach Lang has extensive coaching time in the AAU system, and has also helped coach and administrate her family’s, “Lang Training Academy” in Arkansas.
Previous to her coaching career, Coach Lang played for the Lady Techsters. Starting 3 years as point guard, leading her team in assists each year. She was on the Conference USA Commissioners Honor Roll while graduating with her bachelor's degree in psychology, a minor in Spanish, as well as a master's degree in Sports Administration from Grambling State University.
While playing for Springdale High School, Coach Lang lettered for four years on the varsity team for head coach Heather Hunsucker. She helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to 47 wins and three straight trips to the state tournament. Named all-state as a freshman, sophomore and senior. Lang was a two time all-conference and all-state tournament selection. She was named the Northwest Arkansas Newcomer of the Year by the Arkansas Democrat and a two-time NWA first team all-area selection. Coach Lang holds her high school's all-time assist record with 304. Lang is coming all the way from Louisiana loud and proud with her son Reazon Williams. She is excited to create a new culture that cultivates young women on and off the court!

Hannah Swift BIO
is entering her first year as an assistant coach. She has spent the last two years as an elementary PE teacher in Moore Public Schools. She also teaches Personal Financial Literacy at Westmoore.
She graduated from Randall University in 2019 with a degree in Exercise Science. She played one year of basketball there.

John Powell BIO
Coach Powell is entering his 1st year as an Assistant Coach at Westmoore, after spending the previous 8 seasons as the Head Coach of Girls’ basketball at Brink Junior High. He is currently a teacher in the SPED department at BJH. Before coming to Brink, he was a 6th grade teacher at Sky Ranch Elementary in the SPED department. He also has additional coaching experience as a softball & football coach within the Moore Public School District.
Coach Powell has an extensive background of playing multiple sports throughout his high school and college career. He was a 4-sport athlete coming out of McGehee High School where he lettered in all 4 sports his junior and senior year. He earned a basketball scholarship to attend Carl Albert State College after his senior year of high school and was also drafted as a pitcher by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2002 & 2003 MLB player draft. After his 1st year of college at Carl Albert, he signed to play with the Cardinals in the summer of 2003. He went on to play for 3 years with the Cardinals before returning back to school in 2006 at Seminole State College to continue his basketball career. After Seminole State, he attended Oklahoma Christian University where he played under Hall of Fame coach Dan Hays. Coach Powell graduated from Oklahoma Christian in 2009 with a Bachelors in Sport Wellness & Recreational Management.
Tangie Dorsey BIO
Coach T is entering her 1st year as an Assistant Coach at Westmoore. For many years she volunteered her time at Earlywine YMCA coaching both boys’ basketball and volleyball before coaching at Brink Junior High. During her four season at Brink she was an assistant coach for boys’ and girls’ basketball as well as volleyball. Coach T then spent three seasons as an Assistant Coach at Southmoore High School and one season as Southmoore Junior High Head 7th Grade Volleyball Coach. After returning to Westmoore Junior High as the Head 7th Grade Volleyball Coach, her Lady Jaguars Varsity team went undefeated and walked away as 2023 City Champions.
Coach T lettered four years in basketball at Houlka Attendance Center in Houlka, Mississippi and received multiple awards as well as the most offense player in the North vs South All Star Game 1990. She signed with the University of Texas, El Paso before deciding to go to Connors State College in Warner, OK to continue her basketball career. She has played Division I basketball at University of Missouri Kansas City and NAIA basketball at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she graduated receiving a Bachelors in Recreation Leadership in 1994 and Bachelors in Science in Health Information Management in 2001.
